| Have stayed before and will definitely stay again Although we had a “budget” room, it was absolutely ideal for us. Very friendly staff and nice setting. The free parking is a real bonus |

‘Kitchen & Diner suited our needs perfectly’
We stayed at the ‘Lennox’ in December and had the family room as we were visiting our family who lived in Sale. We booked the ‘Aparthotel’ option so we could have our own kitchen (only £20 a night including gas & electric). This gave us so much flexibility during our stay. We could eat when we wanted and it gave us that extra space which was great with having the kids. It had wifi so the kids were happy and all the appliances you’d expect. It made our stay just perfect. We’ll definitely be back in the New Year. Jane Pollard Dec 2010 Family room & Aparthotel.

As always we are so grateful for our guests’ reviews, good or bad. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay and that you liked the kitchen/diner. We only opened this in October and so far it’s been very successful. We hope you have a great 2011. All the best from Mike & Joanna.

‘The staff were also very friendly and helpful’
I found the Lennox Lea to be a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay and my room was spotlessly clean with good facilities The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the Full English breakfast which was excellent. I really could not find any fault with this hotel and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

| ‘What a great well priced friendly hotel- don’t be fooled by a 2 star rating’ !!My wife, 6 year old son and I have recently returned from a one night stay at the Lennox Lea hotel and wished we had booked an extra night! All staff were courteous, extremely helpful and friendly. The Hotel was situated just off a very quiet tree- lined avenue with small car park at the front. The reception was looked after by friendly staff – unlike many of the bigger four star hotels we have stayed in and the family feel was evident from the very moment we arrived. We stayed in the “Busby Suite” on the first floor which was a good size even with an additional small single bed for our son- for a very reasonable £10 addition to the cost of the room. The room also had TV, comfortable seating and tea making facilities. We booked through “Late Rooms” and paid a total of £79 which we consider was a very good price for such a great hotel. The bathroom was clean and of a very good size. As we spent the afternoon and evening out visiting Manchester we were unable to comment on the bar area which we walked through in order to go to breakfast the following morning, and it looked very cosy and inviting with a range a comfortable relaxing settees and chairs. Having been directed by the friendly lady on reception that morning we ventured “downstairs” to a basement level which opened out into a fantastic eating area with window letting in natural light from just below ground level. The range of breakfast selections were impressive though we did initially think the £7.95 for breakfast was rather steep! However speaking to the staff who were very accommodating to our request to mix some of the breakfast options as my wife and I do not eat meat we were provided with an excellent breakfast that I was unable to finish not from lack of quality. The amount of smoked salmon in the freshly cooked scrambled eggs was excellent and the toast and coffee just kept coming. Another very accommodating aspect of the breakfast staff was not to charge our son for breakfast as he only wanted cereal and toast. Even the lady who came to enquire whether our son wanted more to eat was genuinely considerate of all our needs – though after 5 rounds of toasts our son had to decline the offer as he said he was regretfully “stuffed”! (Thanks again for the that guys!) All in all, when we visit our friends in Manchester again soon, we will be booking to stay at the Lennnox Lea for definite but for 2 or 3 nights instead of just the one. The hotel is also situated so close to many of the sites of Manchester . I read many reviews of Hotels before booking and in all honestly I sometimes think “yeah right..!” but in this case this hotel ticks all the boxes and more. If you are looking for a genuinely friendly family style run hotel then this is definitely worth the money. I don’t believe you could find any better.Read less |

‘Really lovely place and just as lovely staff’
I was completely bowled over by how nice the rooms were and for the price we paid. we stopped in the busby suite and we found it a good size and well maintained. the staff were very friendly and helpful i.e. booking taxis etc. we were only there for one night to watch the soccer aid game at old trafford but could have stayed there quite easily for a few nights more. Loved it.

‘Comfortable & so handy for transport’
Really enjoyed our long weekend stay in Manchester which included our 3 nights at the Lennox Lea. Our room (no 26) was very comfortable with what looked like a brand new bathroom. The only down side was that we were at the top of the hotel which was a bit of a hike (suggest you may want to ask about your room in advance if you have mobility problems). All of the staff were genuinely friendly and extremely helpful (especially if you are unfamiliar with the Manchester area). Although we did not eat in the hotel (too lazy to rise for breakfast) the hotel does provide a very good guide to the restaurants and bars nearby (we tried a couple and agree with the comments provided). The hotel is no more than 10 minutes from the tram stop (Sale) which takes about 15 to 20 minutes to reach the centre of Manchester. The tram links around and across Greater Manchester are first class and will be getting even better over the next couple of years as the service is being extended and will even include a route direct to the airport. We chose to take a taxi to/from the airport to the Lennox Lea which cost almost exactly what the owners predicted (£15) each way. We will be back to Manchester and will certainly consider the Lennox Lea in future.
